An evening for teachers and librarians

Readings Hawthorn, Woiwurrung Country, 687 Glenferrie Rd, Hawthorn, Victoria, 3122

Calling all teachers and librarians – join us at our Hawthorn shop to hear from authors Kelly Gardiner and Kate Mildenhall.

Gardiner writes historical fiction for readers of all ages. Her most recent young adult book is 1917, set during the First World War in the skies above Flanders, and on the Home Front in Melbourne.

Mildenhall’s background is in teaching and education, and she now does project work at the State Library Victoria. She is the author of Skylarking, set in an isolated Australian cape of the 1880s.

The two authors will discuss research and writing, and the best ways to tackle issues such as war and politics with students.

Wine will be provided, and teacher and librarian attendees will receive 20% off any book purchased on the night (excluding other special price offers).

Free, but bookings are essential. Please book here.
