Is the history that you know really a true story? Maybe there is a secret aspect to the journey of mankind - and womankind - that has been kept hidden, except for the initiated? In I Am Why They Killed Diana: The Secret of the Red String, know the life of someone whose family possesses a secret passed on through the centuries… The book starts with the author’s parents, William and Celene. William was from Alabama’s landed gentry whose mother, Ruth Lewis, was a direct descendant of Meriwether Lewis of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. They had a plantation in Alabama, and oil in Texas, but the Great Depression hit their family hard. William managed to have a successful naval career and though he provided well for his family, not everything was a bed of roses. There were times when, after drinking heavily, he would physically harm his wife. The author and her brother were sometimes witness to this abuse, and it made a profound impression on them. But there were also good times, trips to Europe and other parts of the States. The book goes on to describe the author’s life as she becomes an adult and desires independence. She started with unfulfilling jobs before she found her true calling. And, just like any normal woman, she had a series of relationships with the opposite sex of varying satisfaction - some were fulfilling, some were not. It was later in life that she learned about a startling secret. And found her destiny.
