A Leisurely Stroll in the Dark

After a second Great Depression cripples the world, cities begin to close their borders and fend for themselves. Crime driven by intense poverty threatens to destroy any remaining illusion of order. In one such city, The Program is the only solution. Cameras watch every street corner. Every building. Every home. With the footage sold to the highest bidder. A new era of prosperity emerges, where no one goes hungry and crime is nearly non-existent. But at what cost? Trenton was just a kid when this all began. Twenty years later, it’s hard to imagine what life was like before The Program ripped his family apart. After years of hiding his emotions and avoiding attention, he suddenly finds himself involved with an obscure group of people who convince him that now is the time to act.
