Legacy of the Crusaders is an innovative blend of reprint and new material woven together to create a brand new kind of graphic novel experience!
When a mysterious villain attacks the seemingly normal town of Red Circle, the town’s adults suddenly vanish. The kids left behind are brought together by an old man who turns out to be the long-forgotten superhero, the Shield, and they discover that their missing parents were once his teammates in the greatest superhero group that ever lived, the Mighty Crusaders. In order to defeat the forces of evil and rescue their missing parents, these teens must become the next generation of super heroes- the NEW CRUSADERS.
An enveloping narrative featuring 17 pages of new material by the New Crusaders creative team (Ian Flynn, Ben Bates) shows the Shield teaching these young heroes about the early history of the Mighty Crusaders, seen by the reader in the form of some of the best classic tales from Archie’s Red Circle superhero comics from the 1980s.
