Forest Defenders: The Confrontational American Landscape

Controversy erupted in March 2005 when George Bush’s administration authorised the logging industry to cut into sections of forestland set aside for threatened wildlife. An activist group called the Forest Defenders took action. Labelled ‘radicals’ and ‘eco-terrorists’ by the timber industry, these activists are fighting to save some of the truly wild places left in America.
