So when his dad tells him that he’s being shipped off to Strongwoods Survival Camp, Henry is less than thrilled. The facilities at Strongwoods are run-down and a little scary, and there are only three other kids registered (Erik, Stu, and Jackie). To top it off, the one staff member, Max, seems to be borderline insane. Maybe not even borderline. The one bright spot in Henry’s camp experience is Monica, a beautiful girl from the nearby music camp. The final event at camp is the Survival Games (shamelessly inspired by The Hunger Games). Henry is determined to win…but he’s the first one eliminated, right after the game begins. Seriously bummed out, he walks back to the main building, just in time to see Max shot to death by a trio of criminals. Suddenly Henry’s need to survive is no longer about silly games at camp. With no way to contact the outside world because Max confiscated all of their electronic devices, Henry and the other boys (and also Monica, who picked a bad time to pay a visit) must prove that they’ve got the skills to survive the night.
