Next Stop: A Memoir of Family

The summer David Finland turned 21, he and his mother Glen spent several months navigating the Washington D.C. metro every day. David has autism and the family’s hope was that if he could learn the train lines, maybe he would be able to get a job and navigate the adult world on his own. While his parents loved him dearly they were also desperate to give him some kind of a normal life and to give themselves a chance to spend time on their marriage.
