The world’s greatest superpower is at a crossroads. No longer defined by its part in WWII and the Cold War struggle, America’s role and identity are in flux - and with them, the balance of global power.

International foreign policies are often defined by their attitudes to the US, and according to political scientist Ian Bremmer, America is facing three options- become completely independent; be a moneyball that defends its interests wherever threatened; or stay internationally indispensable.
