Kate Reid is the founder of Lune Croissanterie, which has gone on to revolutionise the art of croissant making. After studying aerospace engineering and working in the elite world of F1 (Formula One), Reid realised engineering was not a great fit for her. Instead, she turned her technical know-how and love of precision to pastries.

Gerald Diffey has spent four decades immersed in the world of food, wine and hospitality. He established the award-winning Gerald’s Bar in North Carlton which Heston Blumenthal described as ‘a proper, proper old-fashioned sort of bar’.

Besha Rodell is a critic, columnist and freelance reporter based in Carlton. She is a James Beard Award winner and served as restaurant critic for LA Weekly for five years. Her work appears frequently in The New York Times. She is also the chief restaurant critic for The Age and Good Weekend.

The Readings pop-up bookshop will be open at this event. Drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.
