Thomas M Wright & Erik Jensen on Acute Misfortune
Cinema Nova, 380 Lygon Street, Carlton
Together with our friends at Cinema Nova Film, we are delighted to bring you the opportunity to see the award-winning feature film Acute Misfortune and enjoy a conversation between the film’s co-writers: director Thomas M. Wright and Erik Jensen, author of the acclaimed biography of artist Adam Cullen upon which the film is based.
When 19-year-old journalist and enfant terrible Erik Jensen (founding editor of The Saturday Paper) was invited by Australian painter Adam Cullen to write his biography, Jensen jumped at the chance. Despite a turbulent relationship, the two formed a unique bond that lasted until Cullen’s death in 2012 aged just 46.
Bookings for this event are essential and can be made at the Cinema Nova website.
