Best known for her acting roles in Australian television drama including Blue Heelers, The Secret Life of Us and City Homicide, Tasma Walton has always harboured a desire to write. She has several screenplays and a television series in development and took six months off to devote to writing and finishing her new novel Heartless. Like many writers, she says she carried the idea for the story around in her head for over ten years eventually using magic realism as a means of bringing to life both the physical and spiritual nature of the heart.
