Professor Julianne Schultz is a journalist, editor, academic and writer. Her acclaimed book, The Idea of Australia: A Search for the Soul of the Nation was first published by Allen and Unwin in 2022. The updated edition, released to complement the SBS series of the same name and narrated by Rachel Griffiths, contains a new introduction.

Jacob Hickey is a writer and series producer. His work includes the award-winning feature length documentary Inside the Firestorm, First Contact and Books that Made Us.
