Celebrating the roots and rhythm of jazz music and dance, join performers from this November’s Sea Of Rhythm festival for a Q&A on the history of this growing culture.

Following the Q&A, you can see some of Australia’s leading tap and authentic jazz dancers in action – on the street and in the store – including Ramona Staffeld, Grant Swift , Thomas Wadelton, Tina Rizza, Georgia Books and the Swift Brothers, accompanied by swinging tunes from Melbourne jazz musicians Howard Cairns and David Allardice.

To finish the afternoon, you can learn one of the most famous and simple routines shared by swing and tap dancers the world over, the Shim Sham Shimmy, in a free beginners dance lesson.
