Caroline de Costa in conversation

Online

Please note: this event is now being held online.

Join us for an extraordinary insight into the medical world with Caroline de Costa in conversation with Readings own Christine Gordon.

The Clone Kid by Caroline de Costa is a fictional but frank account of Sydney’s medical profession. Caroline de Costa explores the possibilities, risks and implications of human reproductive cloning, with the reminder that though the techniques may currently be banned, the technology to develop human cloning is already right here - in a lab not far from you.

Caroline de Costa is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at James Cook University, Queensland, Australia, as well as an advocate for indigenous health and abortion rights. Tonight’s conversation will range in topics including crime writing, advocacy and cloning.

This event is free to attend but bookings are essential.

Please book here.
