We are honoured to have Nadia Rhook, in our beautiful Emporium shop, reading from her latest collection of poems, Second Fleet Baby.

This is a collection of poetry that examines birth and motherhood, with a consciousness that spans centuries. The poetry draws on the energies of 18th Century English convict women, including Rhook’s own ancestors, and questions our sense of belonging.Nadia is a Perth based poet who also lectures in History at Indigenous Studies at the University of Western Australia.

Manisha Anjali and Ela Fornalska will also be joining us on the evening.
