Join us for a conversation on the collaboration between contemporary art and literature based on the history of Macau. The discussion will consider how images, language and the form of a publication interact in contemporary and historical contexts. Macau Days is a tri-lingual publication including poetic texts by Brian Castro and artworks by John Young, as well as classic Macanese recipes designed to engage shared histories of Macau, Macau Days published by Art + Australia, Victorian College of the Arts, 2017.

The discussion will also include editor of Macau Days, Edward Colless, and poet Hayley Singer. Brian and John will also be available to sign books.
