An evening with Peter Carey

Cinema Nova, 380 Lygon St, Carlton

Peter Carey AO is one of our finest writers. He has won the Miles Franklin Award three times, the Man Booker two times and is frequently named as Australia’s next contender for the Nobel Prize in Literature. He now resides in America.

We are thrilled to share that Carey will be visiting Melbourne for one night only to talk about his latest work of fiction, A Long Way from Home, in conversation with Jon Faine. This novel is a celebration and interrogation of the Australia of Peter Carey’s childhood, and looks set to be his most ambitious work yet.

Entry is $40 per person and includes a signed limited first edition hardback of A Long Way from Home. Please book here.

Please note, the venue and ticket price details of this event were changed on 17 October. It is no longer being held at the Melbourne Athenaeum, and the ticket price has been adjusted. All original bookings at ticket price of $50 have been refunded. Patrons with refunded tickets will need to re-book for this event. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
