Torpedo: Volume 4  Launch

Readings Carlton, Woiwurrung Country, 309 Lygon St, Carlton, Victoria, 3053

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of his untimely death, Torpedo: Volume Four is a tribute issue to Californian writer Richard Brautigan. A legend amongst counter-culture writers of the late 1960s, Brautigan drifted into obscurity and has been largely ignored by critics and the publishing establishment alike.

That is about to change. Torpedo Volume Four contains tribute fiction and full colour artwork from 50 writers and illustrators around the world. The edition commences with an introduction from Brautigan’s daughter Ianthe and finishes with a memorial from Radiohead illustrator Stanley Donwood. Tonight, Josephine Rowe, Luke May and Alicia Sometimes will read their favourite Richard Brautigan poems.

Free, no need to book.
