Oliver Jeffers’ recent visit to Australia won him a whole new fan base with his quirky illustrative style and delightful Irish accent, so it’s exciting to finally have his new book, This Moose Belongs to Me, in store.
The moose in question is a quiet and hungry fellow, more interested in eating apples than obeying the endless rules of his ‘owner’, Wilfred.
But when Wilfred and the moose are out having an adventure one day, they discover someone else who thinks she owns the moose. Oh, no!
Paintings of mountainous backgrounds enhance Jeffers’ illustrations and really add to the atmosphere. A poignant and thought-provoking book.
