Janine Jansen is slowly building an impressive catalogue of recordings and this one may be at the top ofthe list. With a beautiful focused tone and sublime technique, this performance is one that commands your attention from the moment the first notes come wafting out from the speakers. Also, the choice of a chamber orchestra gives the recording a more intimate feel and coupled with Daniel Harding’s astute direction, puts this CD in the highly recommended category.
