Boccherini was an accomplished cellist and composed many\nquintets with two cello parts. The three divertimentos on this\nrecording are part of Op.16, written for two violins, obbligato\nflute, viola, two cellos and ripieno bass. This CD marks the\nbeginning of a long-term cooperation between Accent and Piccolo\nConcerto Wien. The second volume will follow later this year.
