La Noche Mas Larga (The Longest Night in English) is the sixth album from Majorcan singer Concha Buika, her first with new material since releasing the best-of compilation En Mi Piel in 2011 (released as In My Skin in Australia in early 2012), which was released in association with Buika’s appearance in and her musical contribution to Pedro Almodovar’s acclaimed film The Skin I Live In.
La Noche Mas Larga contains twelve songs, five of which were written by Buika. The seven covers on La Noche Mas Larga - songs by Roque Narvaja, Fito Paez, Billie Holiday, Abbey Lincoln, Dino Ramos, Lecuona, and Brel - define her musical universe. The album features a guest appearance by Pat Metheny and was co-produced by Buika with Eli Wolf (winner of a Grammy Award in 2013) and recorded at BB&B Studios in Miami and Sear Sound Studios in New York.
