Easy by Tammara Webber

When Jacqueline is dramatically rescued from a rape attempt on her college campus, she is terrified and shaken but refuses to report it. Her attacker is one of the fraternity boys from the party she just attended and she is worried about the scandal it will cause. Over the coming months, her attacker will continue to harass her, despite the beating he received the first time.

However, Jacqueline has other worries to keep her busy. She’s just broken up with her boyfriend of three years, is dropping behind in her economics class, and her rescuer keeps turning up in the oddest places. He’s gorgeous, mysterious and definitely appears to be hiding something.

I devoured this fast-paced novel in one breathless sitting. It deals with the pressing issue of male assault and harassment, along with female guilt, in a very realistic manner. It doesn’t preach but has ideas to empower young women. There is also lust and sex aplenty to get the pulse racing. Easy is a well-written, highly enjoyable novel that is most suitable for late teens and new adults.
