The early 70’s Southern Caifornia country rock sound is making a real comebnack lately with the likes of Jonathan Wilson and L.A. band Dawes about to tour Australia. UK outfit Ahab have also toured here and have really nailed that sound with their impeccable four-part harmonies and tight blend of acoustic guitars and mandoline that follows the more bluegrassy sound of some of The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers offshoots and Chris Hillman bands.
