Melbourne musician Paddy Mann has been quietly going about his business for some years now under the guise of Grand Salvo.

His sixth album, Slay Me in My Sleep, has seen him shift to Berlin, and producer Nils Frahm has fleshed out Mann’s stark sound with some lovely arrangements and some singularly beautiful piano playing.

Also on board are local favourites Laura Jean and Luluc’s Zoe Randell for a song cycle of star-crossed lovers and another gorgeously understated addition to Mann’s impressive body of work.
