Goodnight Songs by Margaret Wise Brown
Margaret Wise Brown was the author of one of the most famous picture books, Goodnight Moon. Shewas prolific and had many books published, however, the poems (except three) in this book have neverappeared in print before.
Written with the expectation they would become songs, this book is accompanied by a CD, though it is the diverse illustrations by award-winning picture book artists that make it such a beautiful book. The mellifluous verses are perfectly suited for lulling little ones into a serene reverie and are a charming introduction to the enriching world of poetry. This is a really special book for all ages.
