Legendary musician and rock icon, Levon Helm returns with his\nsecond solo recording entitled, Electric Dirt. Electric Dirt again\nfinds Levon steeped in tradition in his connection to the land and\nthose who live by it, and at the same time goes deeper and fuller\nin painting a musical canvas by incorporating some gospel, blues\nand soul with a wide range of original compositions and eclectic\ncover songs. In 2007, after overcoming insurmountable odds, Levon\nreleased Dirt Farmer, his first solo recording in twenty five\nyears, which went on to win a Grammy for “Best Traditional Folk\nAlbum.” The San Francisco Chronicle citied, “This album is nothing\nless than a return to form by one of the most soulful vocalists in\nrock history.” Rolling Stone went on further to hail Levon Helm’s\nMidnight Ramble’s as 2008’s Best Jam Session and the same year\nLevon was the recipient of the ‘Artist of the Year’ Award by the\nAmericana Music Association.
