The famous Italian journalist Oriana Fallaci is one of the most discussed authors of the last decades. His works are the target of immense praise as well as harsh criticism. This essay focuses on some of the burning issues in her production, such as the role of women in society, motherhood and feminism, as emerges in particular from the reportage Il sesso inutile ( The useless sex ) and the autobiographical novel Lettera a un bambino mai nato ( Letter to a child never born ).
