Para evidenciar as apropriacoes dos ideais republicanos pelas professoras, analisamos os depoimentos das professoras, documentos encontrados no Grupo Escolar Julio Bueno Brandao e no Arquivo Publico Municipal, publicacoes especializadas e referencias bibliograficas sobre o assunto.
