There is a persistent misunderstanding on Comfort Women among English speaking people. Several communities in the U.S. are building a memorial for them accusing human rights violations by the Japanese government, claiming that Comfort Women were Sex-Slaves. This book provides solid bases for discrediting the popular conception. Even the Kono Statement was not a statement of historical fact, but an attempted political compromise.
