Poems from this debut collection have won the Strokestown International Poetry Prize and the Red Line Book Festival Poetry Award; were second for the Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award; and have been commended for a variety of awards including the Oxford Brookes International Poetry Competition and the Pacuare Poetry Competition. Informed by a PhD in Biological Science from the California Institute of Technology, much of her writing would now be described as ecopoetry.
