This collection of plays by Jon Jory, American theatre legend and founder of the Humana Festival of New Plays, focuses on work to be performed by high schools and colleges. Three plays (Halibut High, Highlife, and Superhero Town) may either be performed as full-length plays or separated into one-acts for competition purposes, each act its own separate short play. SHERLOCK HOLMES, SLEUTH, MEETS FATHER BROWN, DETECTIVE: Intuition meets deduction as Sherlock Holmes and the priestly amateur detective Father Brown team up to investigate the suspicious death of a prison guard. SUPERHERO TOWN: Take off their capes, and the mundane suburban lives of superheroes can be such a drag.
