Uncommon Counsel
Daniel Barnes
In Uncommon Counsel, investment education and economic thoughts are combined with timeless anecdotes and temporal travails. Along the way, the author opines on numerous subjects in which he takes a keen delight, including Paul McCulley’s partnership between democracy and capitalism, Anatole Kaletsky’s Capitalism 4.0, and his own insight into European political squabbling.
The Author started his career in Dusseldorf on a government bond trading desk. He’s worked on the buy and sell sides of Wall Street and has political science and history degrees from the University of Notre Dame and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universtaet in Munich. Fluent in German and capital markets he switched to the advisor side of the business to develop lasting relationships to help Individuals and their families manage and steward their accumulated wealth.
The Author is most proud of his ability to think creatively about client’s financial situations and come up, on occasion, with suggestions which inspire and transform the conversation and their thinking. At its core, this is the financial planning he loves and pursues in practice.
