Bob Thompson’s gripping personal stories reveal his pastoral sensitivity, the development of his own pastoral identity through lived experience, his deep commitment to social justice, and his deep love and respect for his muse, his life-partner Bev and their children. (Dr.) Robert Thompson is a graduate of Ryerson University, Queens University, Queens Theological College, and the Toronto School of Theology. He has served in the outports of Newfoundland, small towns and a city church in Ontario, and summer mission fields in Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia. He has also served in a general hospital and as adjunct faculty of the Toronto School of Theology. He was an accredited supervisor with C.A.P.P.E., the Canadian Association of Pastoral Practices and Education. He served on the international board of Habitat for Humanity and was the initial board chair of Habitat for Humanity Canada. Robert is married to the Rev. Beverly (McDougall) Thompson. They share life with their children Christy and Andrew. Robert presently serves the South Cayuga Community Church.
