Mary-Ellen Hurley (a.k.a. sportsmanas widow) is a freelance writer with a number of published short stories. She started writing short stories for entertainment ten years ago for a private newsletter. Her writings are a compilation of short stories of lifeas challenging experiences in an amusing and enlightening day-to-day asportinga fashion. The Sportsmanas Widow is athe representative voicea for all the women who live with a sports enthusiast. Even though her interests lie in a much different direction, she loves and copes with her sportsmanas enthusiasm, understanding that you need to accept what you cannot change, and best yet, she does it comically and gives the rest of us widows a good laugh. She lives in New Hampshire with her sportsman husband and sports-daughter. A sixteen-year-old, thirty-pound tomcat named Wishbone accompanies them and is the king of their castle.
