A mysterious letter … an obsession with the truth … a killer returned from the grave.

The calling card of the serial killer labelled known as ‘The Jeweller’ is always the same: the victim’s ring finger encircled by a band of wire posted directly to Senior Detective Joe Capello. In 1962, when Joe catches and shoots The Jeweller, the killer’s body disappears into a toxic lake and is never recovered.

But if the killer is dead, why did Joe receive one more letter from The Jeweller a month after the case was closed?

Two years off the force and Joe’s obsession with finding out how the killer survived hasn’t died, so when he receives another parcel, his suspicions are confirmed: The Jeweller is back.

As a new string of bizarre murders ensues, Joe is determined to do whatever it takes to catch the killer - this time for good.
