After finishing their brand new record Get Loved in April,\nNathan and Nic from Faker felt a part of the story was missing. So\nin June, they headed back into the studio (well, the studio in\ntheir living room), with their new band-mates Liam and Chris, and\nrecorded three new songs in the space of a week.

How Did We Not Get Loved is the result – a prequel EP to the\nfull length record, and a five track collection featuring two album\ntracks and three brand new tracks. It tells a different story: it\nlooks at the darker side of relationships and loves lost.

\n

The EP reveals the lead single from Get Loved; Hearts to Break.\nThe track, a guitar driven synth pop song, is instantly\nrecognisable as Faker, but introduces elements of the electro\ninfluences present through the Get Loved project. Hearts To Break\nis at radio next week.

Along with the previously released fan track Back When Solvents,\nthe single will be included on the first part of the Get Loved\npuzzle – How Did We Not Get Loved.

Get Loved is more than just the name of the upcoming new full\nlength Faker album – their first for three years. A long and\ndifficult journey, the story of Get Loved will be told in parts –\nsingles, remixes, EPs, videos, live shows and an album. It is their\nmost daring and anthemic work – but also their most personal set of\nsongs to date.
