That album was widely regarded as one of the best albums of 2010, hitting everyone’s end of year lists, in-cluding Pitchfork , NME, Mojo, Q, Uncut & The Fly and garnered major love and airplay in Australia from triple j, NOVA, and CH [V]. A hard act to follow, certainly, but Fragrant World does not disappoint.The world has heard two songs from the album already in ‘Henrietta’ and ‘Longevity.“ Both were added to triple j and had considerable community play. A third single will come upon album release-and trust us, it’s massive in true Yeasayer fashion! On Fragrant World, keyboards clank and wheeze, tiny claps stumble against busted drum machines, and there’s very little obvious guitar. Yeasayer have created a dense and beautiful record.
