Celebrating the 40th anniversary since its original release,\nTerry Riley’s In C has influenced generations of music enthusiasts\nby continuously crossing genre boundaries. This newly re-mastered\nreissue package features all of the elements from the original\nsessions as well as new sleeve notes transcribed from recent\ninterviews with Terry Riley, the project’s original session\nproducer, David Behrman, and several of the performers from the\noriginal historic studio sessions.

Commemorating the 45th anniversary of the original performance,\nTerry Riley’s In C will be released in October 2009, and follows a\nperformance at Carnegie Hall in which the composer and an array of\nperformers took part, including some of the original participants\nfrom the 1964 concert premiere.

In C is the next in the SONY MASTERWORKS CARNEGIE HALL PRESENTS\nbranded series to celebrate special concert events and the great\nperformers whose art contributes to the Carnegie Hall legacy.
