Notos Quartett

A WORLD PREMIERE recording of Béla Bartók’s Piano Quartet in C minor, a work that was long believed to be lost. Plus two rarely recorded pieces: the First Piano Quartet in F sharp minor by Ernst von Dohnányi (1877-1960) and the Intermezzo for string trio by Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967). The Quartet have won numerous competitions including the Charles Hennen Competition, the Schoenfeld International String Competition to name just two. They are well-known for rediscovering lost and forgotten examples of the works in the piano quartet genre.
