Review
Dave Clarke, Readings Carlton
One of my favourite musicians/composers of the past century was subject to a documentary film by Australia’s own Scott Hicks (Shine). It had a brief run at Carlton’s Nova cinema and was also recently aired on ABC TV. Glass is one of the highest selling classical artists today and his compositions, whether they be opera or solo piano, are highly regarded. Included on this soundtrack is a snapshot of his career, from Einstein on the Beach to some of his recent symphonic works.
