The Australian & New zealand edition of ‘Celebration Rock’ includes 7 BONUS TRACKS, including 7-inch rarities “Heavenward Grand Prix” and “Art Czars”, as well as covers of NICK CAVE AND THE BAD SEEDS, PJ HARVEY, BIG BLACK and X.
Formed in 2006, the duo of BRIAN KING and DAVID PROWSE was originally envisioned as a trio. Japandroids are one guitar, one set of drums, and two vocalizers; a two-piece sounding like a five-piece band. The band rose to prominence in 2009 following the release of their debut album ‘Post-Nothing’. Japandroids recorded the album at Vancouver studio THE HIVE with POST NOTHING engineer with producer Jesse Gander for this record. The result is 8 tracks worth of DIY punk charm, anthemic energy and impulsive, youthful exuberance; not to mention one of 2012’s best albums. The album captures a raw, live energy and drummer David Prowse takes the vocal reins on the album.
