Decca have done it again. They’ve got a massive selection (many of which are available in our September 2011 Box Set Sale) of Complete Orchestral works in 4 or 5 CD box sets of major composers with brilliant musicians. I mean, how can you go wrong?
The Chamber Orchestra of Europe are considered one of the preimere ensembles currently performing. Most musicians in the group have parallel lives as soloists or in larger orchestras, so the intense style of musicianship is appreciated in any context. Claudio Abbado leads them in this set that also includes the Grand Duo and Overture to Rosamunde.
