Osvaldo Golijov since refined Pasión to such an extent that\nDeutsche Grammophon felt it imperative to release this new studio\nrecording in tandem with the DVD of a 2008 live performance. These\nsupercede the 2000 audio-only live recording of the premiere by\nincorporating the revisions of “one of the most gifted composers of\na new era”. (All Things Considered, NPR)
