The new offering from the pre-eminent pianist Alice Sara Ott are two concertos accompanied by the Munich Philharmonic, conducted by Thomas Hengelbrock. Piano Concerto No. 1 by Tchaikovsky as well as the* Piano Concerto No. 1* by Liszt are presented here and this is her first concerto recording, so for an already well known musician, quite a milestone. Refined technique and delicate touch on each of the works, it is a great album for lovers of piano virtuosity.
