Hunter Wild, top student at the Helios-Ra academy for vampire slayers, has a duty to complete as a vampire slayer, which is hard to fulfil when she suddenly falls in love with one of the infamous Drake brothers, who happens to be a vampire.

But vampires are beginning to attack the school, and a strange “vitamin” is going around that is said to make people stronger, but it is actually making the students fall ill. No body knows what’s happening, but Hunter is determined to find out the truth.

Out for Blood is a fantastic story filled with action, mystery and romance. Though it does have a strange similarity to the book Twilight, with the main character falling in love with a vampire, and a couple of scenes, similar to the ones in Twilight. Even so, it would be a great book to read over the summer holidays.
