In a Time Lapse, Einaudi
I don’t know what’s in the air at the moment but there are a slew of fantastic contemporary classical albums all being released one after the other. First we had Richter’s recomposition of the Four Season, the Daniel Hope’s Spheres which leads perfectly through to Ludovico Einaudi’s most recent release, In a Time Lapse. If you have not heard of this Italian composer, I am here to say that you are missing out. If you’re a fan of Arvo Part or indeed indie pop it’s this strange and compelling meld of these two musical genres with a healthy dose of traditional string quartets and electronic music. Intrigued? Absolutely check it out.
