Sweetwater by The Glorious

When I listen to the second album of a band that impressed me with their debut, all I ask for is that I see a growth, both in songwriting and artistically. I am glad to say that the dreaded ‘second album syndrome’ has clearly evaded The Glorious. Warm, relaxed and raw, and devoid of the overproduction that can often plaster over the cracks in a band’s talents, Sweetwater breathes life into a collection of tracks that draw from a palette of many colours and shades. Dave Mather’s songwriting has matured and progressed akin to how life does – he has newer and richer stories to tell with a world weariness that at no point gets you down. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Highly recommended.
