From the time I first heard Patty Griffin’s debut album Living with Ghosts in 1996, I have been enraptured with her. I was working at her record company and it seemed that myself and two friends were the only fans she had in Australia. Now, 11 years later, she has finally reached the sort of audience an artist of her quality deserves. And finally I will get to see her perform live in November at The Athanaeum. While waiting for the show I have been enjoying this terrific live DVD which was recorded earlier in this year in New York the week her latest album, Children Running Through, was released. I am sure I will watch it many more times after her Melbourne shows. Highly recommended.
