Hey Trouble: The Concretes

Hey Trouble is the third studio album by Swedish indie-popsters The Concretes, and their first after the departure of lead vocalist Victoria Bergsman. With vocal duties switching to drummer Lisa Milberg, the band has refused to dwell on the troubled saga that gave birth to this album, instead focusing on the group’s legacy of swirling dark pop and girl-groups of the 1960s. Shifting from the piano-based nostalgia of their previous offering (In Color, 2006), their biggest sonic leap comes in the form of the first single Kids, whilst other tracks retain the drama and spaciousness of their best past work. The album features collaborations with members of other indie-pop label mates. For fans of Camera Obscura!
